Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's — both owned by the same parent company — each offer a Capital One co-branded Mastercard under the CLUB Points loyalty program. The two cards are functionally identical: same $0 annual fee, same 9.99% promotional APR at either store, same 2% CLUB Points earn rate, and the same up-to-$60 welcome bonus. The only real decision is which store's branding you'd rather carry.
Why the 9.99% rate matters
Most co-branded retail cards carry APRs in the high-20s to low-30s. The CLUB Card's headline feature is a 9.99% APR specifically on purchases at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's — a rate that's closer to what you'd see on a personal loan than a typical store card. That discount doesn't extend to purchases made elsewhere: spend the card anywhere else Mastercard is accepted, and the rate jumps to a 19.49%-30.49% variable APR, per Capital One (verified August 2026).
How the CLUB Points welcome bonus works
New cardholders can earn up to $60 in CLUB Points in three steps: $20 upon approval, another $20 after 5 purchases made anywhere Mastercard is accepted within 30 days of approval, and a final $20 after 5 more purchases in that same window. Ongoing, both cards earn 2% back in CLUB Points on Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's purchases, redeemable for gear with no stated earning cap.
Our methodology
Every figure above — APR, annual fee, rewards rate, and welcome-bonus structure — is attributed to Capital One's own published card-catalog page (capitalone.com/credit-cards/), verified August 2026.
