OnePay — Walmart's financial-technology arm — issues a Synchrony Bank Mastercard called the OnePay CashRewards Card, built around cash back at Walmart. Applicants who don't pre-qualify for that card are instead offered a Walmart-only fallback, the OnePay Walmart Spend Card, which carries no standard rewards program.
How the CashRewards Card earns
The headline rate is 5% cash back at Walmart, online and in-store, for Walmart+ members — a separate paid subscription. Without Walmart+, the rate at Walmart is still 3%. Every purchase made anywhere else Mastercard is accepted earns a flat 1.5% cash back, uncapped, per OnePay. New cardholders also get a $35 cash-back welcome bonus upon account opening, and cash back is redeemable as a statement credit or a deposit into a OnePay account (minimum 25 points to redeem).
What happens if you don't qualify
OnePay's application flow first considers you for the CashRewards Card. If you don't pre-qualify, you're automatically considered for the OnePay Walmart Spend Card instead — a card usable only at Walmart and Walmart.com, with no standard cash-back structure (only occasional limited-time point offers). You can't apply for the Spend Card directly; it's offered only as this fallback.
Our methodology
Every figure above — cash-back rates, annual fee, and welcome bonus — is attributed to OnePay's own published card page (onepay.com/card), verified August 2026. ClearValue Lending is not a card issuer; we score and compare publicly available terms. Rates and terms change — confirm current terms at onepay.com before applying.
